| KENOSHA SPORTSMANS DARTBALL LEAGUE |

| Dartball has been played in Kenosha since around 1960. At one time there were 4 leagues in the Kenosha area. Gene Vojtisek kept this league going as the President of the league for many years. His passing in November of 2010 was a major loss for Dartball in Kenosha. Karl Peura worked with Gene as league vice president for many years and took over as league President in 2010. The Thursday night Kenosha Sportsmans league is a 75% handi-capped league, which has helped to attract new teams to the league. In 2009 the league had 14 teams. In 2010 the league had 18 teams. In 2011 the league was up to 23 teams, with a minimum of 7 players per team. As a tavern league, many of the taverns sponsor more than 1 team. The league is divided into 4 divisions, with teams playing all the teams in the league, and having two of the three position nights played in the division, and one based on the entire league records. Instead of playing for a win-loss record, a team gets 2 points for each win, and 1 point for each game that they make their average, for a total of 9 points possible for each week of the 3 games played. The team with the most points at the end of the season will be the league champion. Trophies are awarded for the top 3 teams, and they have a most improved traveling team trophy, named the Gene Vojtisek Memorial traveling trophy. They give out individual trophies for top statistics and to the first place team. |
