Leskovar's 4-man tourney was held February 20 & 21, 2010. Jay, Tim, Doc, and Scott won enough games to make it to Sunday, so Saturday night we had to take Doc out on the town, near Jay's old stomping grounds. We had fun pretty much everywhere, but one of the stops was a South Milwaukee Bar called Stingrays. They had karaoke in the back part of the bar, so we signed Doc up for a Johnny Cash song. You can see the words on the monitor on the far left. Doc wouldn't go by himself, so Tim & Jay helped him out, along with the chic runnng the gig, and Lamont, the big black man in the $1,000.00 suit. Of course the singing was HORRIBLE, but it was too funny. We tried to leave right away after the song, but the hottest chic in the bar insisted that Doc dance a song with her. She finally twisted his arm enough that he agreed to it.

STATE TOURNAMENT 2009 - 2nd Place Class A - Ho Chunk Convention Center in Wisconsin Dells March 28-29, 2009 We beat Eau Claire Auto Parts in the first round by scores of 24-7 and 18-15. In the 2nd round we beat another Eau Claire team, MBC. The scores were 20-6 and 30-15. That advanced us to Sunday. In the semi-final game we played Vern's Cheese from Sheboygan. We won the best of 3 set by scores of 10-21, 19-17, and 17-14. In the Championship, we met our biggest competitor: Hickory Inn from S. Milwaukee. By the time the finals started, most of us had lost our voice. We lost the first game 26-28, but came back to win the 2nd game 23-20. Both teams had a chance to win in the bottom of the 9th, but the visiting team won each game. The final game was very dissappointing, and we couldn't string together any hits. We lost 4-10. We had a good run, but ran out of gas in the end. For the tournament we scored 191 runs, an average of 19.1 per game. The final numbers: Doc .667 (4-6), Brad .596 (34-57), Dale .591 (39-66), Ty .590 (33-56), Jay .565 (35-62), Scott .554 (36-65), Brian .492 (31-63), Butch .483 (29-60), Tim .438 (7-16), Steve .397 (25-63), Chico .385 (15-39, but was 10-17 in Championship). That's a .514 team average (252-490). We were not happy finishing 2nd, but wehad a very fun weekend, and we're laughing in the picture because Mike Goetsch is doing his "free willy" behind the camera to make us laugh!

The Watertown 9-man tourney was March 6-7, 2010, all the games on Saturday were 7 innings. There were 18 teams, and we were in the bracket with the extra game. We beat Farmers Insurance(Watertown) 21-5 and 27-3 in the first round. We beat Oak Manor (Milwaukee) 18-7 and 15-7. We lost to EauClaire Auto in the 3rd round 12-19, 28-10, and 1-15. We got behind in the last game and couldn't get anything going. Goes to show how important it is to get ahead early, and not play the extra set. We still averaged 17.4 runs per game.See the chart below for the individual averages.
